Web search-based training is a type of student-centered training that has received attention in recent decades. Despite this, studies about the effect of this method on students do not agree, therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of web search-based training and determining its effect on academic optimism, social responsibility and academic adjustment of fifth grade male students in District 2 of Yazd. This research is quasi-experimental. The statistical population included 3618 fifth grade male students in District 2 of Yazd in the academic year of 2022-2023, of which 30 were selected as a sample by Stepwise cluster random method. In this research, academic adjustment questionnaire by Baker and Seriak (1984); social responsibility questionnaire by Kurdello (2013) and academic optimism questionnaire by Tschannen-Moran et al. (2013) were used. Web search-based training was held in 7 sessions of 50 minutes. Analysis of covariance test was used to analyze the data. The findings showed that the web search-based training was effective on all three components of academic adjustment, social responsibility and academic optimism of the fifth grade male students in District 2 of Yazd. As a result, this type of education, due to the high flexibility of electronic technologies, provides favorable conditions to achieve educational goals.
