Origami, or the art of paper folding, is a traditional Japanese craft used to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes by folding paper according to written instructions and accompanying images. The present study aimed to examine the impact of origami training on social skills and arts education in preschool children. This applied research was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test procedures, involving both experimental and control groups. The origami training program was developed and implemented over 16 sessions. The program included activities ranging from the identification of basic origami shapes to the construction of complex figures and their display. The statistical population included all preschool 2 students in Najafabad city in the academic year 2025, and a multi-stage cluster sampling method was used. To measure social skills, the Gresham and Elliott Social Skills Questionnaire (1990) was used; and to measure arts education, the Entezami, Naraghi, and Naderi Art Education Questionnaire (2017) was used. In both questionnaires, the validity was examined and confirmed by subject matter experts, and the reliability of the components was obtained by Cronbach's alpha. Data analysis was performed through descriptive statistics and one-way mancova with SPSS software. The results demonstrated that origami training had a significant effect on improving the social skills and arts education of preschool children. Therefore, origami education for preschool children should be taken into serious consideration by teachers and curriculum planners in kindergartens, as it promotes both social and artistic growth.
