About the Annual English Issue

Interdisciplinary Studies in Education is pleased to announce the launch of its Annual English Issue, a new initiative aimed at fostering international scholarly exchange and expanding the journal's global academic presence. Beginning in 2027, the journal will publish one English-language issue annually, scheduled for publication each Spring.

The inaugural Annual English Issue is devoted to the theme:

Converging Frontiers: Interdisciplinary Frameworks & Emerging Technologies in Teacher Education

The rapid advancement of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Extended Reality (XR), learning analytics, educational robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), immersive technologies, intelligent educational systems, digital twins, and other digital innovations, is reshaping educational landscapes worldwide. These developments are transforming how teachers teach and learn, as well as how teacher education is conceptualized, designed, and implemented.

At the same time, addressing the opportunities and challenges of these technological developments requires interdisciplinary perspectives that integrate educational sciences with fields such as artificial intelligence, cognitive science, learning sciences, educational technology, data science, and human–computer interaction.

This Annual English Issue seeks to provide an international forum for high-quality theoretical, empirical, methodological studies that examine how interdisciplinary scholarship and emerging technologies are redefining teacher education, professional learning, educational leadership, and the future of teaching and learning.
