چکیده [English]

Background and aim: The current research was conducted with the aim of identifying the challenges and solutions of teaching social skills in elementary schools of Lordegan city. Social skills are a process that enables children and adolescents to understand and predict the behavior of others, control their own behavior, and regulate their social interactions; therefore, teaching these skills is part of the educational system process and, in other words, one of the duties of the educational system. Education is one of the most appropriate ways to achieve social, cultural, economic, and political development. It also plays an important role in creating and changing the behavior of society, as one of the influential institutions.
Data and method: The research was conducted as a qualitative study using inductive content analysis and a coding system. Participants included 16 elementary school teachers with master's degrees in educational or social sciences and over five years of teaching experience. They were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews, following the principle of theoretical saturation, and analyzed using inductive content analysis.
Findings: Based on the findings of the research, the challenges of teaching social skills in elementary school are: challenges related to parents, challenges related to educational content, challenges related to teaching, social challenges, challenges related to classroom management, and student challenges. The findings of the research showed that the strategies for dealing with challenges include: strategies related to parents (encouraging parents and explaining the damage caused by lack of social skills, etc.), Solutions related to educational content (providing social skills in a lesson that can be adapted to the needs of students, etc.), solutions related to teaching (developing a suitable tool for evaluating social skills, providing a certificate in the field of social skills training social, etc.), social solutions (identification of problematic students, the same words and actions from teachers, etc.), classroom management solutions (compilation of motivational policies, use from multimedia, etc.) and student solutions (identification of students in terms of family conditions, in terms of social skills status, etc.).
Conclusion: The findings suggest that effective integration of social networks and social skills education requires a multidimensional approach, considering individual, organizational, cultural, and social factors. Focusing on a single dimension is insufficient. To implement the proposed solutions, it is recommended that educational policymakers revise existing curricula and develop a comprehensive, coordinated program for social skills development. This program should clearly define the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders, including the government, families, and schools. Additionally, the Educational Research and Planning Organization is advised to create multimedia-based instructional content for teaching social skills and distribute it to schools.
